Dys-embodied Dance
The experience of illness is to be dys-embodied - where 'dys' is borrowed from the medical terminology for loss of function or normality. This short piece for violin and piano evokes dances (both and unstable Jig followed by a more 'stable' Sarabande) to explore the disintegration and re-integration of the body, as might happen in illness and recovery.
